About breed Bullmastiffs.

The Bullmastiff breed, as its name suggests, is a combination of the Mastiff and the Bulldog.  It was created in England in the mid-1800s; the only guarding breed to originate in England. At the beginning it was breeding as guardian dogs which accompanied night patrols of forest wardens and in fight with poachers. The advantages of the Bulldogs had started to be used in fight with criminals and in 1924 was created National Bullmastiff Police Club, which developed first breed standard.

Despite massive build, Bullmastiff is very elegant. Strength and composure are his attributes. After proper, good training he's dangerous opponent. But usually he's kind-hearted, cheerful, reliable, brave and very obedient dog, which is very important too. Next of he's attributes is his friendly attitude toward children.

He's a very lively dog, lighter and faster than Mastiff and much more easier to control. He's short, thick and smooth fur doesn't need any special treatment.
